And now for it's original notes...

I have actually been trying to work on my skills when it comes to "promoting myself" and such. Although I think well of myself and of my work (not that there isn't always room for improvement) I've just always hated the idea of imposing on people. Although, I'd actually be helping them if my work turned out to be something they could use. But it's still tricky for me.

I'm getting better though, And Alex Kain certainly is a good reminder of the sort of genuine networking dexterity I need to work towards. And I hope I'm not implying that networking is Alex's only talent, it's just the one that's most amazing to me, because it's the talent which I'm currently the most retarded in.

We've worked together on projects for classes though. Actually, if you go to his Twitter and see the icon he uses for his avatar, that image is a character of a Robo-Salesman I drew for the capstone game design project we both worked on.

For him, I'm imagining it's a reminder of his humble beginnings, but for me it should be a destination, I need to become that Robo-Salesman and start selling myself the way that a robot (programed for selling) would.

But as I recall, the object of that game was actually to kill the robot, so maybe I shouldn't follow his lead too closely. Although that would end up solving the problem. Didn't Tupac sell way more records after he died? Hmm. Well, how about I just keep that on the back burner.
