I'm not sure if it's better that I don't have my hat right now or not. Maybe this is just the sort of thing I need right now, to force me to carve out more of my own identity that's defined by more than headwear.
Actually, screw that, I don't think coming across as "individual" is really my problem. If anything, this hat probably helped to ground me in people's minds as someone they can relate to. "Oh he's wearing a hat, I know of people who wear hats. Now I can meanly group him with those people." Otherwise, people don't know what to think about me!
I need to get my hat back before people try to pigeonhole me in ways I don't have a say in! Where's my hat?!
