Journal Comic - U Mad Cuz Ad by tyhalley Journal Comic - U Mad Cuz Ad by tyhalley
A comic from my journal comic series "The Secret Life of a Journal Comic". You can read more at my main site at

And now for it's original notes...

It's really quite ironic anti-bullying commercials are sprinkled between all these modern commercials who take it upon themselves to focus on how people who aren't in their product's club are chumps and losers. I feel like this can't be a coincidence, but I'm not sure yet what the connection is. All i know for sure is that they both feel like ill-informed and irritating trends which I hope will die soon.

One thing I'm all for is being cruel and acerbic, one might even call it my trademark if you didn't include my anxiety and chronic self loathing. But one reward I don't expect for my cruelty is trust or patronship. I got to laugh at how you got cut to the quick, but I need to be punished on an interpersonal level.

Having said that, you should spread the word about my comic, donate and buy my merch. I'm not talking shit about my peers, just everyone in general. There's a difference, any idiot would know that and support me.

The trend by which men are used as are ignorant morons by advertisers is damaging. You know the sort of thing. Man attempts task using inferior product. Woman comes in laughs patronizingly and completes task with superior product. Man is worthless dufus.

Advertising remains a gigantic fucking rhino on the back of modern society. Since advertisers have no goddamn idea what theyre doing, the only way they can sell their shitty products is by being memorable, even if that means being as obnoxious and annoying as possible.

Don't mention five to seven year old kids that act like they really know shit. I never would thought I would say "act your age" from the opposite direction. You're too young to care about mommy and daddy's insurance plan, go play outside already. A kid that can't even find his feet in real life is going to tell me why I should buckle up in a car. Kid, go play pretend cop somewhere else.

And that for-profit college Everest. Everest is one of the worst. Some walking stereotype street guy yelling at me to go to this college or I'm just a stupid couch potato. I think we established, long ago, that street and school advertizing don't mix. Hell, higher education should care more about educating us over bringing in more paying customers.

I can go on all night. But currently I would watch a turd dry to a hard crust before I watch one more commercial. lol
