Description
From my webcomic "That's Inhuman". It's about a zombie and robot navigating a human world.
My main site for the comic is www.thatsinhuman.com
As a sport, you're pretty lucky if you get under the wire early on enough to get "it" as a name for any component of your game andyours alone. Kudos "Tag", you really did it.
It's sort of surprising that no game claimed "ball" as its own concept early on. Maybe by the time balls started making the rounds, people knew enough to enforce preemptive specificity. All with anticipation that these "ball-things" might have cross-brand potential.
I guess in America you get baseball colloquialized as "ball" as in "play ball". However, those guys also didn't bother checking if "football" was taken before applying the name to a new game of their own. So maybe Americans aren't the best metric for "naming convention etiquette". Hell, they don't even have a metric system!
